Less is MORE!

My go to oils for muscle pain 😍

Salam and hi guys!

This week has been hectic with the youngest having cough, flu and fever. I have been diffusing thieves with lavender as well as lemongrass to help with his immune system as well as his blocked nose, applying R.C for his cough and Lemon to help cool down his body temperature.  Alhamdulillah, it works wonders! But the key to use essential oil is consistency and frequency. It is definitely NOT the more drops of essential oil the better. LESS IS MORE!

But do remember, essential oil can help so much. If the symptoms prevail seek medical help ASAP!

This is a misconception that could potentially harm adults and most of all babies, toddlers and young children.

I am not going to scare you guys here, however it is important for us to know what are the precautions that we need to know before using any product; and in this case essential oils.

So, what are the precautions in using essential oils?
1. Dilution. It is best when you can dilute your essential oil with any type of carrier oil of your choice. In my case, I am using Young Living's V6 carrier oil. It is not sticky at all!! Find out what is the best dilution ratio according to its intended use and age range.

2. Medical conditions. Do you have any medical conditions? It is best for you to consult a medical practitioner for advice. Because, although essential oil have got numerous benefits it can also become a nuisance if you're not using it the RIGHT way.

3. Children, toddlers and babies. There are a few types of essential oils that is best to be avoided to these group age. For example, peppermint. I've read in NAHA, National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (naha.org); it is advisable to NOT use peppermint for children 6 years old and younger as peppermint have adverse effect on this age group.

4. Pregnant. Please find out what essential oils that is best to be avoided while you're pregnant. Not all essential oil can be use when you are pregnant.

5. Avoid eye and private areas

6. Do not consume essential oils. Unless you have received advice from your medical practitioners on cosumptuin of eo.

There you have it. Some precautions that I remember at the tip of my fingers from my little research. Feel free to share if you have more to add to this list because there are so much more to learn!!

See you guys soon!

Love,
Aishah
